Membership Categories & Subscription Fees
Memberships for the 2026/27 season, which started on 1 March 2026 and runs until 28 February 2027, are still open and some of the fees have been discounted since we are now a few months into our season. However, if you are thinking of joining, you are encouraged to do so as soon as possible as the club’s Board is monitoring membership numbers closely and may at some stage close off some, if not all, categories. See below for the various membership categories the club offers and the current fee that applies. Most of our memberships also include some free or heavily discounted rounds at other golf clubs.

Flexible payment options are also available ($25 admin fee applies) – pay a 20% deposit then pay the balance by regular weekly, fortnightly or monthly automatic payments to suit your circumstances.
Note: If you have been a member of the Kaiapoi Golf Club for 20 or more years you are eligible for a 10% discount off your membership fee.

Full playing rights Monday to Friday, runs until 28 February 2027 – includes Golf NZ Handicap plus card allowing 3 FREE rounds of mid-week golf at Bottle Lake, 2 FREE rounds at McLeans Island and 3 FREE rounds at Waimairi Beach (note: from 1 September the Waimairi rounds will cost $10).

Full 9 hole playing rights until 28 February 2027 on any day, except on Saturdays only after the regular 18 hole competition is finished – includes Golf NZ Handicap plus card allowing 3 FREE 9 hole rounds of golf at Bottle Lake, 2 FREE rounds at McLeans Island and 3 FREE rounds at Waimairi Beach (note: from 1 September the Waimairi rounds will cost $10). If you want to play 18 holes some days at Kaiapoi, just pay a $10 green fee for the extra 9 holes.

Full playing rights until 31 August 2026 – includes Golf NZ handicap plus card allowing 2 FREE rounds of golf at Waimairi Beach, 1 FREE round at Bottle Lake and 1 FREE round at McLeans Island.
Convert to a Full Active Member at the end of your Membership for an additional $430 incl GST and get another card allowing a total of another 4 FREE or heavily discounted rounds at the above clubs.

Must be a fully paid member of another NZ golf club for which you paid a fee of at least $600. If you paid less than $600 then the difference between $600 and what you did pay is added to the Kaiapoi fee.
Full playing rights, until 28 February 2027 – includes card allowing 1 FREE round at each of Waimairi Beach, Bottle Lake & McLeans Island courses.
Secondary members are ineligible to play in Kaiapoi’s Club Championships unless they upgrade their membership to Full Active status, the total fee required to be paid to upgrade is now discounted to $570 incl GST regardless of what you paid to your primary club.
Secondary members can only play in Kaiapoi Interclub teams if the team cannot be filled with Kaiapoi Primary members, ie Primary members have priority.
There will be a cap on Secondary members in 2026/27 of 55.

Includes free access to the club’s junior coaching programme.

Must be under 18 on 1 March 2026. Full playing rights until 28 February 2027 – includes Golf NZ Handicap plus card allowing 3 FREE rounds of golf at Bottle Lake, 2 FREE rounds at McLeans Island and 3 FREE rounds at Waimairi Beach (note: from 1 September the Waimairi rounds will cost $10). Includes free access to the club’s junior coaching programme.

Must be a full-time tertiary student on the date of joining for the season. Full playing rights until 28 February 2027 – includes Golf NZ Handicap plus card allowing 3 FREE rounds of golf at Bottle Lake, 2 FREE rounds at McLeans Island and 3 FREE rounds at Waimairi Beach (note: from 1 September the Waimairi rounds will cost $10).

For beginner women golfers as they learn to play rounds on the course. Membership runs until 28 February 2027. This category does not include any competition rights and does not provide a Golf NZ handicap. If you transfer to one of the club’s other memberships before 28 February 2027, a pro rata credit towards that membership fee will be given based on the length of the She Loves Golf membership that has been used.

For primary school students & beginner golfers under 18 years of age as at 1 March 2026. Players not at primary school may only be a Junior Beginner for one season. Eligible for club’s junior coaching programme for FREE, restricted playing rights. Membership runs until 28 February 2027.

No playing rights, but all club privileges.
Voting Rights
Life Members and Financial Playing Members (excluding Juniors who are under 16 years of age on the date of the meeting) have the right to vote at any General Meeting.
